PAJE AYANI HUNI KUIN & TXANA RANI HUNI KUIN

paje ayani huni kuin

Ayani Huni Kuin is a respected Pajé (spiritual leader and healer) from the Aldeia San Joaquim – Centro da Memoria in Acre, Brazil.

Driven by a desire to share the integration with nature that defines the Huni Kuin way of life, Ayani travels the world. Her songs are expressions of this deep interconnection, honoring the sacred union between humanity and Nature. Through her teachings and artistic expressions, Ayani brings the joy of her traditions to a global audience.

As a folkloric singer, Ayani specializes in Pacares and Cantorias, a cappella songs used to call upon the forces of nature. Later, she incorporated the acoustic guitar into her prayers, creating a unique and powerful expression of her faith – a true living prayer that resonates with audiences worldwide.

Txana Rani huni kuin

Txana Rani Huni Kuin is an extraordinary musician and songwriter who carries the esteemed name of her grandmother, Rani. This inheritance holds deep significance, as Rani is the first granddaughter in her lineage, she holds a leadership position in her village.

Her music transcends language, weaving together traditional Huni Kuin melodies with contemporary influences. As a leader in her community, she inspires the younger generation, carrying the torch of her culture’s rich musical and dancing heritage.

The title “Txana” holds a special significance within the Huni Kuin people. It is given to those musicians with the ability to mimic the songs of the birds, just like the Txana bird. Txana Rani embodies this title, her melodies echoing the calls of the forest and the rhythms of the natural world.

Don’t miss this extraordinary opportunity to be present at a living museum unlike any other.

Pajé Ayani and Txana Rani aren’t simply performers replicating traditions; they are living embodiments of the Huni Kuin culture. Through their music, you’ll have the privilege of experiencing their prayers and the sacred sounds passed down through generations. It’s a chance to connect with a vibrant culture in a profound and meaningful way, a culture that holds the key to remembering our true place in the natural world.

Let’s celebrate together the beauty and wisdom of the Huni Kuin people. Invite Pajé Ayani Huni Kuin & Txana Rani Huni Kuin to your venue and embark on a transformative musical journey together, a journey that reconnects us to nature.
